Heriot-Watt University Malaysia was established in 2012. The campus is built on a 4.8 acre site on a lakeside location nearby, Putrajaya. The University builds partnerships with many high ranked corporate organizations in appropriate industries, some of these partnered organizations include Shell Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia, YTL Foundation, and Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council (MREPC).

COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS:

The University has a number of highly valued collaborative partnerships with 43 overseas learning institutions in 35 countries around the world. Heriot-Watt University, in partnership with another awarding body, agree to provide a single programme of study which leads to a joint or dual award. In a Collaborative Partnership, the University and its partner are jointly accountable for the progress, management, delivery and teaching of the programme of study. A Collaborative Board of Studies is responsible for all academic and non-academic matters, including monitoring delivery, assessment and quality assurance arrangements.

CAMPUS LIFE:

As part of Putrajaya Lake’s ‘green band,’ the campus features a striking stretch of living grass roof, lighting ‘powered’ by the maximum use of natural daylight, a rainwater harvesting system as well as enhanced air-conditioning and thermal control systems.

To create an optimum learning and living environment for students, the ‘green campus’ is well-equipped with a variety of facilities, including meeting rooms, common rooms, a library, quiet study zones, group study and discussion areas, cafes and retail outlets. Students can also benefit from various support services, such as Careers Advisory Service, Counselling, IT support, the International Student Support Office (ISSO) and Student Service Centre.
